2016 Cross-Canada Official Languages Consultations On June 17, 2016, the Minister of Canadian Heritage (the Minister), the Honourable Mélanie Joly, announced the launch of the Cross-Canada Official Languages Consultations 2016 (the Consultations). These consultations were intended as a first and important step in her commitment to develop a new multi-year action plan for official languages.
