Referendum 1992

Referendum 1992 Contained within the Federal Elections, 1968 to 2001, Atlas of Canada series, is a map that shows the provisional results of the 1992 National Referendum. It reflects the yes or no answer to the following question: Do you agree that the Constitution of Canada should be renewed on the basis of the agreement reached on August 28, 1992? The country is divided into electoral districts and these are given either a green or red colour depending on the percentage of yes or no votes. For those electoral districts where the majority of votes are NO, a light red is used for 50 to 57%, medium red for 57 to 62% and a dark red for 62 to 100%, For those electoral districts where the majority of votes are YES, a light green colour is used for 50 to 60%, a medium green for 60 to 74% and a dark green for 74 to 100%.
