The Government of Canada will develop and launch a new citizen engagement and consultation platform. Through this enhanced platform, Canadians will be able to easily take part in whatever federal consultations interest them. Social media features will also be built into the design of the new platform to promote and inform Canadians of consultations planned or underway.
Potential activities may include:
- Launching the next-generation Consulting Canadians platform, which will increase the visibility of consultations and make it easier for Canadians to have their voices heard on planned government activities, programs, or services; and
- Providing guidance to federal departments on “best practices” for public consultation.
