Median after-tax income of households by census subdivision with population ecumene

This map shows the 2015 median after-tax income of households by census subdivision together with the 2016 population ecumene for census subdivisions. The ecumene shows where people actually live within the census subdivision area. A population ecumene is useful as Canada’s population is unevenly distributed with approximately 60 percent of the population living in the Windsor to Québec corridor alone with large areas of the north unpopulated or rural areas where the population density is less than 0.4 persons per square kilometre.
