Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) uses satellite remote sensing to monitor lake-wide water quality indicators across Canadian inland waters. Remote sensing provides a cost-effective solution to obtain frequent lake-wide water quality observations in support of lake science and inland water quality management on an on-going basis. The datasets presented in the EOLakeWatch interactive web-tool provide long-term satellite-derived monitoring of water quality indicators, contributing to programs such as the Lake Winnipeg Basin Initiative and Great Lakes Nutrient Initiative.

The Cereal Aphid Manager is an easy-to-use mobile app that helps farmers and crop advisors control aphid populations in wheat, barley, oat or rye. The app predicts what the aphid population will be in seven days and the best time to apply insecticide.

A basic Border Wait Time web app using Material Design Ruby on Rails without a database. When making the app I had basic goals. 1. To build something using Open data. 2. Use rails without a database to build and render static html (or mostly static html) from the open data.

Milieu is a web application that maps urban planning and development information in an easy to use interface. We allow citizens to comment on developments in their neighbourhoods and use cognitive computing to translate their feedback into insight for decision makers in real time.
