Statistics Canada’s Confidentiality Classification Tool
In alignment with Statistics Canada’s modernization agenda, particularly the pillar for building capacity that will increase overall statistical literacy as well as its commitment to the Canada Data Strategy to support the optimization of the value of data by sharing good practices, Statistics Canada has developed a Confidentiality Classification Tool (CCT) that is used to evaluate its data products for disclosure risk. To assist users in working with the tool, a User Guide has also been developed. While both the tool and the guide were developed for internal purposes, the User Guide contains information on disclosure control concepts that may be useful to other organizations working with confidential information (such as microdata files and summary tables).
