Portrait of the dissemination of high-value municipal datasets

Portrait of the dissemination of high-value municipal datasets The municipal partners of Data Québec began work in 2018 to determine the datasets most likely to be used by citizens. Building on the work of other Canadian jurisdictions, six criteria were developed to assess the value of data. Based on these criteria, 18 high-value datasets were targeted. It is therefore starting in 2019 that the municipal partners of Data Québec use this list of high-value datasets to prioritize their open data dissemination work. Also since 2017, [partners regularly set standards] (https://www.donneesquebec.ca/fr/normes-etablies/) for data dissemination. As such, future work is planned to establish new standards for this high-value data. This portrait presents the status of dissemination and standardization of these datasets as well as their availability by municipality. High-value criteria: * Target socio-economic and environmental issues* Provide better service delivery * Encourage innovation and sustainable economic growth* Increase government transparency and accountability as well as information flow* Respond to strong community demand * Data quality 2022-05-18 Government and Municipalities of Québec pilote@donneesquebec.ca Government and Politics Broadcast portraitCSV https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/dataset/20ed36e5-85fb-4409-b272-b1fa1d8c92b3/resource/dc59f90d-f180-4647-bfad-284a21893a9d/download/jeux-donnees-haute-valeur-municipale-2022-05-10.csv Data descriptionPDF https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/dataset/20ed36e5-85fb-4409-b272-b1fa1d8c92b3/resource/7024906d-86b6-41d0-a881-cc4cf95b4f7f/download/description-jeux-haute-valeur-municipale-.pdf Original metadata (https://www.donneesquebec.ca)HTML https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/fr/dataset/20ed36e5-85fb-4409-b272-b1fa1d8c92b3
