Releases of harmful substances to water – Releases of lead to water by facility, Canada The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators (CESI) program provides data and information to track Canada's performance on key environmental sustainability issues. The Releases of harmful substances to water indicators track facility-based releases to water of 3 substances that are defined as toxic under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999: mercury, lead and cadmium and their compounds. For each substance, data are provided at the national, regional (provincial and territorial) and facility level and by source. The indicators also help the government to identify priorities and develop or revise strategies to inform further risk management and to track progress on policies put in place to reduce or control these 3 substances and water pollution in general. Information is provided to Canadians in a number of formats including: static and interactive maps, charts and graphs, HTML and CSV data tables and downloadable reports. See the supplementary documentation for the data sources and details on how the data were collected and how the indicator was calculated. 2019-05-30 2019-11-15 Environment and Climate Change Canada Nathalie.Trudeau@canada.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentSociety and CultureScience and TechnologyWaterPollution and WasteFacilitySubstanceAssess Toxicity; Manage and Monitor for Environmental Presence of Hazardous Substances and WasteMonitor / Assess Substance and Waste Levels in Air; Water; Soil; BiotaNational (CA)Toxic substancesEnvironmental indicators Releases of harmful substances to water – EnglishHTML https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/environmental-indicators/releases-harmful-substances-water.html#summary-details2 Releases of harmful substances to water – FrenchHTML https://www.canada.ca/fr/environnement-changement-climatique/services/indicateurs-environnementaux/rejets-substances-nocives-eau.html#summary-details2 Data sources and methods – EnglishHTML https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/environmental-indicators/releases-harmful-substances-water.html#DSM Data sources and methods – FrenchHTML https://www.canada.ca/fr/environnement-changement-climatique/services/indicateurs-environnementaux/rejets-substances-nocives-eau.html#DSM Interactive indicator map – EnglishHTML http://indicators-map.canada.ca/App/CESI_ICDE?keys=WaterToxics_Pb&GoCTemplateCulture=en-CA Interactive indicator map – FrenchHTML http://carte-indicateurs.canada.ca/App/CESI_ICDE?keys=WaterToxics_Pb&GoCTemplateCulture=fr-CA Releases of lead to water by facility, Canada – RESTESRI REST https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/CESI/MapServer/36 Releases of lead to water by facility, Canada – RESTESRI REST https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/ICDE/MapServer/36 Releases of lead to water by facility, Canada – WMSWMS https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/services/CESI/MapServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=1&legend_format=image/png&feature_info_type=text/html Releases of lead to water by facility, Canada – WMSWMS https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/services/ICDE/MapServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=1&legend_format=image/png&feature_info_type=text/html Data table – English (CSV; 72.7 kB)CSV http://indicators-map.canada.ca/CSVs/en/Releases%20of%20lead%20to%20water%20by%20facility.csv Data table – French (CSV; 74.1 kB)CSV http://carte-indicateurs.canada.ca/CSVs/fr/Rejets%20de%20plomb%20dans%20leau%20par%20installation.csv Google Earth – English (KMZ; 24.9 kB)KMZ http://indicators-map.canada.ca/KMZs/en/Releases%20of%20lead%20to%20water%20by%20facility.kmz Google Earth – French (KMZ; 24.7 kB)KMZ http://carte-indicateurs.canada.ca/KMZs/fr/Rejets%20de%20plomb%20dans%20leau%20par%20installation.kmz
