Recognizing the overrepresentation of Indigenous persons in the federal correctional system, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has incorporated a model of Indigenous corrections. This model includes specialized interventions and services at all sentence stages and ongoing knowledge-building efforts to understand the profile and needs of Indigenous offenders.
