FRR - Characterization of agricultural riparian areas — Aggregate results - GéoMont 2020

FRR - Characterization of agricultural riparian areas — Aggregate results - GéoMont 2020 The characterization of riparian strips was carried out on 400 km of agricultural watercourses for the territory of 5 MRCs in Montérégie (Beauharnois-Salaberry, Haut-Richelieu, Jardins-de-Napierville, Marguerite-d'Youville, Vallée-du-Richelieu). The results obtained by photo-interpretation, based on the width of the sections of riparian strips calculated from the high water line and the slope of the embankment, were aggregated to produce global results by municipality. The project was carried out within the framework of the Regional Data Acquisition Program on Wetlands and Waters (PRADMHH) and was financed by the Regions and Rurality Fund (FRR) of the Regional Directorate of Montérégie of the MAMH. Criteria used to characterize the conformity of shoreline areas. Conformity of the shoreline (Criteria used according to the width of the shoreline) Non-compliant (The non-compliant shoreline has a total width of less than 3 meters) Almost compliant (The almost compliant shoreline has a total width of 3 meters or more, but a width of less than one meter on the slope of the embankment) Compliant (The compliant shoreline has a total width of three meters or more and a width of a minimum of one meter on the slope of the embankment) Exceptional (The exceptional riparian strip has a total width of 5 meters or plus and a width of 3 meters or more (from the slope of the embankment)**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** 2022-11-30 Government and Municipalities of Québec info@geomont.qc.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and Technology Characterization of agricultural riparian areas — Aggregate resultsGPKG https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/dataset/c082efd9-d9bc-4eb3-acb8-42499f03b4ba/resource/c612ee49-8f6d-415e-8bf7-bae849921836/download/bande_riveraine_geomont_2021.gpkg Original metadata (https://www.donneesquebec.ca)HTML https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/fr/dataset/c082efd9-d9bc-4eb3-acb8-42499f03b4ba
