The Ontario Region is responsible for 8 institutions (seven for men and one for women). Included in the male institutions is the Regional Treatment Centre. With the exception of Beaver Creek, Warkworth Institution and Grand Valley Institution for Women, all are located in the Kingston area.

The Quebec Region operates 10 institutions (nine for men and one for women).

The Atlantic Region consists of four provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. The region operates 4 institutions (three for men and one for women) and the Shepody Healing Centre.
