Formative evaluation of the Elsie initiative for women in peace operations – Executive summary The executive summary provides findings and recommendations from a formative evaluation of the pilot phase of the Elsie Initiative for Women in Peace Operations. The Initiative is a Canada-led, multi-stakeholder effort to increase the meaningful participation of uniformed women in the UN peace operations. Canada launched the Elsie Initiative as a five-year pilot (2017 to 2022) and extended it for another five years (2022 to 2027).
