Transport Canada’s headquarters gets the GC WiFi treatment

Transport Canada’s headquarters gets the GC WiFi treatment Transport Canada (TC) and Shared Services Canada (SSC) are proud to recognize the largest GC WiFi installation to-date at TC’s new headquarters in the National Capital Region. From the outset, we worked collaboratively, relying on a strong partnership at various levels to help steer the multiple WiFi projects to completion and effectively resolve issues along the way. The 29-floor building comprises a large concourse and serves more than 4,000 mobile employees. SSC installed more than 250 access points, kilometers of cabling and performed many hours of testing and configuration to implement the GC WiFi service. Providing employees with the tools they need to be productive while on the go is an important part of TC's modernization strategy, and GC WiFi is one of its foundational services. Employees can access the systems they need to serve Canadians from any office, meeting room or visitor area. The GC WiFi service, combined with SSC services for remote access, enables and equips a mobile and effective workforce. TC and SSC are very proud of this accomplishment and look forward to future joint endeavours. 2021-06-10 Shared Services Canada open-ouvert@tbs-sct.gc.ca Science and TechnologyShared Services CanadaTransport CanadaGC WifiDigital Evolution2019 Transport Canada’s headquarters gets the GC WiFi treatmentHTML https://www.canada.ca/en/shared-services/campaigns/stories/tc-digital-evolution.html Transport Canada’s headquarters gets the GC WiFi treatmentHTML https://www.canada.ca/fr/services-partages/campagnes/histoires/tc-evolution-numerique.html
