After a two-year long journey, we are now successfully making significant headway with the Cities of Toronto, Hamilton, Milton, Victoria on what is an innovative solution to bridge the gap between direct civic participation and student engagement in government decision making. We are doing this through civic crowdsourcing and an open and transparent approach to participatory budgeting, civic crowdsourcing/funding, and giving students a chance to build a legitimate history of civic engagement/pledged services.
