Dear Vanessa,

Thank you for your question. The data owners said that they will take your comment under consideration in future updates of this resource.

They included this note: "the significant new activity (SNAc) provisions of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA) may apply to a substance whether it has been found to meet the criteria for toxicity under section 64 of CEPA, or not. You can verify whether a substance was found to meet the criteria of section 64 of (CEPA) by referring to the screening assessment for that substance (or group of substances). The table provides the URL to the screening assessment publication for each substance subject to the SNAc provisions under the column with the heading “Final screening assessment/Évaluation préalable finale”. If a substance has been added to Schedule 1 of CEPA, the List of Toxic Substances, the URL to this publication is provided in the column with the heading “Order amending Schedule 1 of CEPA, the List of Toxic Substances / Décret modifiant l'Annexe 1 de la LCPE, la Liste des substances toxiques”."

Regards,

Kent on behalf of the Open Government team
