Appropriate time and resources  to make the lives of the Canadian Veterans who served there country to make Canada a safe and secure place to live. Homeless and at risk Veterans must be identified and offered assistance both financially and medically by whatever means in necessary. On line contact is not an appropriate method of identifying those in need. Service workers are needed in Cities and communities to seek out the Veterans and offer them the much needed help.
Reassess the Medical Pension program and eliminate the cash payout in favor of monthly pensions. Lump sum payments created two classes of veteran, one with a monthly pensions and one who needed to invest his payment to achieve a monthly pension. Data should  reveal that in a climate of low interest rates this would be impossible to compare

I am very glad that the Federal Government has a feed on input from the public on this project. Below is a post that I made on this part of the Federal website: "Harold Blanes - a Normandy Veteran, when being interviewed by CBC Go Public, airing on May 31, 2017 said the government needs to stop the cheating of old people. This important series of instalments on rampant crime against banking and investment clients is a matter that needs to be treated seriously by all level of government. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/financial-industry-employees-forge-documents-more-often-than-you-d-think-1.4138212 So far, the level of dedication to protection of all Canadians by all laws is slipping right over the heads of provincial and federal officials. We need a comprehensive discussion at the civil society level on why we as a country can no longer tolerate the outsourcing of regulation over the banking and investment to organizations that have a track record of ignoring most grievances. This is very damaging to the confidence level we have over the whole investment process. https://open.canada.ca/en/node/1084#comment-form I would urge everyone to go to the link above and participate in this discussion. I would like the Government of Canada to engage on this, instead of continuing the dehumanization of those who are harmed by the impunity racket that reliance on IIROC and the MFDA and other SRO charades causes. It is not too much to ask that deception by dealers be challenged under the standards of the British Common Law of Contract and Sections 361-363 and 380 of the Criminal Code of Canada. I will be extremely glad, after searching for 11 years, to come across one elected official who is not beholden to the idea that they have to ignore and blow off this subject."
