Informal Request for ATI Records Previously Released

Organization: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Year: 2022

Month: February

Request Number: A-2019-62598

Request Summary: I would like to have more information regarding the Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) program such as documents and resources used during these orientation sessions (i.g: presentations, resource materials, hand-outs, booklets). In addition, I would like to access documents that detail the procedures of these orientation session (How does IRCC select refugee participants? How does a typical "training" day look like? How many days is the orientation offered? Are the orientation procedures standard across the 12 permanent sites?). Moreover, I would like to access statistics describing the number of participants to these sessions across the 12 permanent sites (preferably per year). Finally, according to the Canadian Governement's website (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/immigrant-serving-organizations/best-pratices/canadian-orientation-abroad.html), "The International Organization for Migration is required to submit, to Citizenship and Immigration Canada as funder, accounting statements as well as statements of progress on the project which include and may not be limited to narrative and statistical reports". Hence, I would like to have access to these statements, as well as statements provided by refugees (e.g: feedback on these orientation sessions).
