Request Summary: Statistics about the number of asylum claims made by irregular border crosser from 1990 to present. Please make the following requested data be grouped together by countries of alleged persecution. Please include all the requested data in Excel. Please include the following for each each individual asylum claim: a) year of entry (referred) b) basis of claim: 1) race, 2) religion, 3) nationality, 4) membership in a particular social group and 5) political opinion; c) the outcome of claims: Abandoned Neg. (No credible basis), Negative, Positive, withdrawn, and total claims under each one of the five enumerated ground; d) demographic information (sex, age) of the people making claims. Please make demographic data (age and gender) be cross-referenced with year of entry; e) countries of transit before their journey to the US, and their length of stay in these transit countries f) their port of entry in the US g) their length of stay in the US before crossing into Canada; h) their ports of entry in Canada (Roxham Road, Emerson etc.) i) languages spoken
