Request Summary: Background: In April 2021, the IRCC announced 90,000 permanent residence applications, of which 30,000 were for essential non-health care occupations. July 16, 2021: the 30,000 cap for essential non-health care occupations was met. Request: Of the 30,000 workers that qualified as essential non-health care, I am requesting information on the total number of Seasonal Agricultural Workers or Ag-Stream workers, broken down by National Occupational Classification (NOC) category and by country of origin. I believe the NOC categories pertaining to farm workers include the following: 8252 (Agricultural service contractors, farm supervisors and specialized livestock workers); 8255 (Contractors and supervisors, landscaping, grounds maintenance and horticulture services); 8431 (General farm workers); 8432 (Nursery and greenhouse workers); 8611 (Harvesting labourers); 0821 (Managers in agriculture); 0822 (Managers in horticulture).
