Request Summary: Provisions for Extended Family reunification became effective on October 8, 2020, featuring a solemn declaration form as a requirement of application. On Friday, IRCC updated the website for extended family reunification, adding new requirements. Finally, the process to request a Travel Authorization for the purpose of "extended family"? reunification was posted on the IRCC website at 10 a.m. on October 8, 2020. IRCC indicated they were working over the long weekend. The known cumulative result of IRCC's consideration of requests for Travel Authorizations to end of business Wednesday October 14, 2020 (4.75 days of processing) was less than 10 confirmed Travel Authorizations issued to extended family members. There is no means to check status of applications, even in the face of shifting government requirements. Request: I am asking for the number of exemption requests filed before the declaration form changed; the numbers filed since; and the number of applications currently approved. I am also asking for the reasoning behind the form change. Timeframe from October 8, 2020 until October 15, 2020
