Request Summary: Records inherited from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) following the transfer of enforcement activities to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in 2004 related to the following: sanctuary cases involving Chileans in Montreal from January 1 to December 31, 1998; at St-Jean-de-la-Croix Church from January 1 to December 31, 1999; at the Church of the Advent and Église Chrétienne Espagnole de Montreal; the sanctuary cases involving Moura Bourouisa and Yakout Seddiki at Union United Church from January 1 to December 31, 2002; the sanctuary case involving Dorothy Dubé and her family at Union United Church from January 1 to December 31, 2002; and the sanctuary case involving Menen Ayele and her family at Union United Church from January 1 to December 31, 2003. Additionally, any information held by the CBSA relating to the case of Khurshid Begun Awan who was in sanctuary in the Town of Mont-Royal at St Peter's Church from January 1 to December 31, 2013. Specifically, for all the above cases records including policy documents and any communication between CIC or the CBSA and the Montreal police service.
