Request Summary: Letter Minister John Munroe signed back in the 80’s after Conne River had entered into negotiations with the federal government. This letter agreed to negotiate with the rest of the Mi’kmaq on the island of NL. I am also looking for a report done by Dorethy Anger in January of 1984, Potential eligibility of native people on the island of NL, outside of conne River as status indians. A copy of the Canada Newfoundland Native Peoples Agreement 1965. The DMC paper for DIAND in 1984 which summarizes recommendation for Federation of NL Indians based on research done on communities.
