Request Summary: In a 2020 report, QA and Analysis branch reviewing CPC-Edmonton's work permit applications found that mistakes were present in approximately 25% of refusals sampled. One of the mistakes mentioned is as follows: "Clerical errors stem from the foreign national (FN) not being requested by the system to provide mandatory documentation at time of application - a known anomaly to our department. To address this, office instruction dictates processors to request necessary documents when their Document Sub Type is missing from the electronics documents (eDocs) submissions." We are requesting a copy of the office instructions mentioned and all office instructions of the same type provided to Canadian offices concerning the processing of work permit applications.
