Request Summary: On February 22 Agriculture and Agri-food Canada released this news release, https://www.canada.ca/en/agriculture-agri-food/news/2022/02/government-of-canadaannounces-up-to-1827-million-to-partner-organizations-to-help-farmers-lower-emissions-andimprove-resiliency-to-climate-change.html. It makes reference to 12 organizations receiving funding under this program and also states, “Activities supported through the Fund are expected to reduce GHG emissions by up to 2 million tonnes by 2024.” I request: 1. Details on how the 2 million tonnes was calculated including tonnes in carbon dioxide equivalents for the three principal greenhouse gases, C02, nitrous oxide and methane. I am seeking quantitative numbers.
