Request Summary: In accordance with, the Canada Labour Code Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations (SOR/2020-130) requesting documents/policies held/used by VAC regarding the following: (a) VAC’s mission statement regarding the prevention of and protection against harassment, violence, and discrimination in their dealings with Veterans; (b) a description of the respective roles of and actions to be taken by the VAC management; (c) a description of the risk factors identified by VAC, internal and external to the VAC support structure, that contribute or could contribute to perpetrating such harassment, violence, and discrimination complaints against Veterans; (d) the training VAC provides to their regarding the prevention and processing of harassment, violence, and discrimination complaints emanating from Veterans; (e) a description of the manner in which VAC will protect the privacy of persons who are involved in an occurrence of harassment, violence or discrimination against a Veteran, and/or in the resolution process for such an occurrence. Describe the manner in which each category (Veterans, VAC employee and/or the VAC contractor/provider) are protected; (f) a description of any recourse that may be available to a Veteran who intends to, or has complained, or was a witness in an occurrence of harassment, violence or discrimination perpetrated against a Veteran by a VAC employee and/or a VAC contractor/provider); (g) a description of any and all support measures that are available to Veterans in the context of having made or contemplating to make a harassment, discrimination or violence complaint against a VAC employee and/or VAC designated contractor/provider; and (h) the name, title and position of the person in VAC who is designated to receive a complaint harassment, discrimination or violence, complaint made by a Veteran against a VAC employee and/or a VAC designated contractor/provider.
