Request Summary: All correspondence, including (but not limited to) all documents, including but not limited to briefing notes, reports internal and external e-mails and messages in applications such as Slack and Microsoft Teams related to policy on adoption cases that involve children born in Somalia, sent to or from any visa officers at the High Commission of Canada in Kenya, in Nairobi between June 1, 2022 and December 30, 2022. I would also like to see any correspondence that mentions the term "Kafala" (which refers to adoption in Islamic culture). Exclude correspondence of no informational value (e.g. meeting scheduling and logistics), and exclude duplicates. Only include latest versions of documents (final versions or latest drafts). I am open to re-scoping this request once you hear back from the office of primary interest, particularly if this request would result in a large number of records.
