Requesting the following: 1. All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the number of former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (the “Veterans”) who were: a. Approved to be in the Veterans Affairs Canada (“VAC”) Rehabilitation Program; b. Deemed to be "Totally and Permanently Incapacitated" and/or suffering "Diminished Earning Capacity" c. Approved for and received an “Earning Loss Benefit" regardless of whether the benefit payment was offset by other income or payments; 2. All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the number of Veterans who received the Supplementary Retirement Benefit; 3.All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to the numbers of Veterans who did not apply of but who would have, on application, qualified for the VAC Rehabilitation Program; 4.All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the number of Veterans who were not deemed to be but would have, on application, been deemed to be incapacitated by a permanent physical or mental health problem that prevents him or her from performing any occupation that would be considered to be suitable gainful employment, and thus would meet the definition of “Totally and Permanently Incapacitated” and “Diminished Earning Capacity”; 5. All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the number of Veterans who did not receive, but who were eligible to receive, an Earnings Loss Benefit payment regardless of whether the benefit payment would have been offset by other income or payments; 6.All documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the number of Veterans who did not receive the Supplementary Retirement Benefit but who were eligible to receive the benefit on account of meeting the requirements set out at para. 3-5 above; 7.Any and all VAC policies, or policies that apply to VAC employees, regarding: a.The training of VAC employees in regard to the programs and/or benefits that are available to Veterans; b.The knowledge and awareness of government programs available to Veterans that is required of VAC employees; and c.Advising and/or communicating with Veterans regarding eligibility for, and/or the existence or, government programs and/or benefits available to Veterans; 8. Any documents that verify, or are otherwise relevant to, the training received by VAC employees and other government employees assigned to help Veterans regarding the government programs/and or benefits that are available to Veterans; and 9. Any non-personalized (i.e. generic and/or mass) communications between VAC and Veterans, including but not limited to any announcements by VAC, regarding the availability of, and/or eligibility for, the government programs and/or benefits that are available to Veterans.Organization: Veterans Affairs Canada
