I am interested in the federal penitentiary case file record of Marcel Aveline. Finding aid information: TITLE/DESCRIPTION: Marcel Aveline. REFERENCE NUMBER: RG73 1985-86/162 1. Aveline was born between 1910 and 1914 in Québec, and was repeatedly incarcerated at federal prisons in Québec and Ontario between the late 1920s until c. 1970. Aveline was a well-known figure in the 1930s and 40s, leading highly public protests at federal prisons. As a frequent prisoner, Aveline was only the second Québecois (and one of the first nation-wide) to be designated a 'habitual offender' and given a life sentence. His time in prison coincides with enormous changes in the Canadian penal system, so I hope his case file will be revealing of these broader trends.

All correspondence to the Office of the Correctional Investigator from the Correctional Service of Canada that pertains to the medication distribution line at Bath Institution (from January 2017 to the present). Clarification received February 25: I am interested in communications relating to the nature and impact of the medication line itself (it’s outdoor location, privacy issues, waiting times, prisoners being exposed to extreme weather, any health crises occurring in the outdoor line, etc.) rather than issues regarding medication that is dispensed from the line.
