Section K.2.6 of Canada’s Seventh National Report for the Joint Convention (October 2020) stated that the CANDU Owners Group (COG) Radioactive Waste Leadership Forum (RWLF) "launched a project to produce an integrated radioactive waste strategy for Canada" and that "The first output of this industry-led exercise on preparing an integrated radioactive waste strategy is expected in 2020. This output from waste owners will be available for inclusion in the radioactive waste policy review being led by NRCan."
