In October 2020, StatsCan engaged in a consultation with Federal, Provincial, NGO, and police departments/organizations to better understand the nature of their information gathering systems as it related to the collection of data in human trafficking in Canada. StatsCan sent out 16 questionnaires; 13 were completed by 6 federal partners, 7 provincial partners. StatsCan also received two completed questionnaires by police services and one NGO that were forwarded by provincial contacts.
