Req # A-2020-00033

Through recent disclosure by B.C. Supreme Court, we obtained RCMP records (attached) that indicate a threat against two Canadians was received and investigated by both Vancouver Police and RCMP in the immediate days after Meng's arrest. I am writing to request access to any details about the nature of the threat, whether it was considered credible, how it was investigated, and the outcome (arrest/charges/investigation closed). I am also looking for more specific details about whether that threat was directed at Canadians living in China, or elsewhere. I appreciate your careful consideration of this request.
