During a presentation on Nov. 3, 2022, CNSC staff delivered a risk assessment relating to deterioration of pressure tubes. CNSC staff concluded that Level 3 Defence in Depth "is not adversely afffected by the type of pressure tube failure that could potentially result from reduced fracture toughness." Also, they determined that "the increase in risk metrics such as severe core damage frequency (CDF) and large release frequency (LRF) due to postulated increases in pressure tube failure frequency is negligible for 2-3 years of continued operations." I request all reports or other documents possessed by the CNSC detailing how these conclusions were arrived at. I also request any memos, e-mails or other electronic communications discussing this risk assessment. Relevant dates would be Nov.1, 2021 to present.Organization: Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
