Req # A-2022-024

I wish to obtain all documents produced, sent or received – between November 19, 2021, and the date on which my request is processed by your office – by the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages concerning a motion adopted by the Senate on March 29, 2022. This motion calls on the federal government to include in its proposed reform of the Official Languages Act – that is, Bill C-13 (44th Parliament) – the addition of a requirement to enforce section 55 of the Constitution Act, 1982. In other words, the motion seeks to ensure that the reform bill forces the federal government to detail its efforts to adopt the French version of all of Canada's constitutional documents.
