Request for the Blazon of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles including the official lineage of the Regiment, from 9 November 1883. Current as well as historic records that indicate the following information: A) Wearing conventions, descriptions, diagrams, templates, photographs and all other instruments of identification of the blazon of all badges, collar dogs, unit identifiers such as metal and cloth badges/flashes, buttons, insignia, emblems, symbols, accoutrements, rank identifiers for Officers and non commissioned officers, Cross Belt insignia, Camp Flags, and all related heraldic or armorial Set Patterns of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles authorized by Department of National Defence and the Canadian Heraldic Authority or their predecessor. Included will be the authorized listing of Honours and Battle Honours of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles noting those Honours and Battle Honours that are to be emblazoned on cap badges and drums etc. The authorized form of the regimental title, short title and abbreviation is required. B) Notation will describe in detail all errors or omissions known to the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Heraldic Authority with regard to the requested information such as spelling errors, etc. Timeline for records is 1883 to present (16 January 2023).
