I am creating a nominal roll for all Canadian Service persons who did a tour of duty in Cyprus. This was a UN Mission called UNFICYPR and Canada sent troop from 1964 to 1988. Up until approx. 1967 the military used a service number. Units posted in 1967 to 1988 used the SIN service number which is blocked. I do not need discipline incidents only movement to Cyprus. RCAF usually created an Air Transport Unit (ATU) for mission but in first instance used Squadrons 435 & 437 to move men and equipment to Cyprus. I would like the operational records for this and if you can ID the ATU that was created, would like all the names for the entire mission. Clarifications provided on Nov 15 2022: Yes it was SNOW GOOSE. What I am attempting to create is a nominal role of all service persons who either served or qualified for the United Nation Peace Keeping Medal for CYPRUS. (UNFICYPR). The Army units are mostly well documented but the RCAF seemed to have been left out. There were RCAF who served at the airbases, in Cyprus, to handle incoming aircraft as well as often passenger lists of those army personal being transported to and from CYPRUS. I am interested to see or have the operational logs of the RCAF ATU to see who these RCAF service persons were.
