In November, 2013, the OCI published a report titled “A Case Study of Diversity in Corrections: The Black Inmate Experience in Federal Penitentiaries Final Report.” That report was based in part on interviews and focus groups conducted with Black prisoners. Last year’s annual report included an update to the Black experiences report based on additional interviews. I would like anonymized copies of the notes taken during these interviews.

I am seeking all documents, reports, briefing memos, decision letters, e-mails, and/or other records that – for rejected applicants to CMHC's Indigenous Shelter and Transitional Housing Initiative – identify the reasons for the rejection of their application. I am solely seeking records that relate to Manitoba-based applicants. I am seeking records both that were sent to the rejected applicant, as well as those that were not sent to the rejected applicant. I expect a search to be performed from March 7, 2022, up to the present date [June 12, 2023].
