Completed Access to Information Requests

Transitional Period

Federal departments are moving their web content to Canada.ca. As a part of that process, proactive disclosure reports will become available through the Open Government portal.  During this transition, if a proactive disclosure report from a specific department is not yet available on the Open Government portal please refer to Proactive disclosure by department or agency where a copy can be found.  For any questions on this issue, please contact us at open-ouvert@tbs-sct.gc.ca .

Provide all internal documents, meeting minutes, and correspondence discussing potential safety enhancements in light of OPG's desire to extend Pickering’s operation for 4 additional years. This should include anything discussing how CNSC staff will determine what enhancements will be considered reasonably practical in light of the 4 additional years of operation. Please provide any formal correspondence sent to OPG on this topic. Date scope is January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017. For context, in a submission to the Ontario Energy Board regarding Pickering’s extended operations, OPG says that safety enhancements are “assessed to identify the alternatives that can be reasonably and practically implemented to improve safety, if any, in the context of 4 years of additional operations.” It also said management was confident a list of reasonable enhancements can be agreed to with CNSC staff "in view of the 4 years of additional operation that is sought.”
