“Any and all information and materials including but not limited to emails, memos, hand written notes, correspondence, internal communications, reports, records, briefing notes, minutes, and background documents relating to the effect the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) may have on the Canadian Commercial Corporation. I would like all information in the formats referenced above containing any reference to the United Nations (ATT) as well as any reference to the Department of National Defence having to adjust their import or export controls as a result of the UN Arms Trade Treaty. More specifically I would like to request any information in the formats listed above, in which officials within the Canadian Commercial Corporation or the Department of National Defence discuss the term or definition of "broker" and how possible changes to the Export and Import Permits Act could impact the operations of the Canadian Commercial Corporation. As well, I would like to request copies of any communication between the current and past Minister of Foreign Affairs (including staff) regarding the UN Arms Trade Treaty, but more specifically pertaining to the discussion over whether or not the Canadian Commercial Corporation is considered to be an "arms broker" or a "trade entity”. Timeframe requested is from November 4, 2015 to May 8, 2017.
