Req # A-2020-00099

Information about long-term care for veterans in New Brunswick. First, I would like information on the long-term care waitlist for veterans in NB from the beginning of 2010 until today, including: overall numbers, average wait times, breakdowns for gender, eligibility type (contract, preferred, etc), and any other relevant data. Second, I would like data about the beds in the Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton and the Ridgewood Veterans Health Wing in Saint John from the beginning of 2010 until today, including: occupancy rates, number of bed days used, bed days available, percentage of beds used, number of vacant bed days, percentage of bed days available, and any other relevant data. All of these numbers should be broken down by bed type (contract, preferred, etc). Third and last, I would like any information VAC has relating to demographic trends and forecasting for veterans and long-term care needs in New Brunswick and/or the Atlantic region. Specifically, what are the projected number of veterans (broken down by gender and service type) that will be living in New Brunswick and the region in the coming years?
