Suggested Dataset: Bedford Basin Monitoring Program

The Bedford Institute of Oceanography has been collecting weekly profiles of water conductivity, temperature, and depth (CTD), as well as dissolved oxygen and fluorescence, in the Bedford Basin (Halifax, NS). The measurements started in 1992 and are apparently still ongoing, but the webpage where each weekly profile was once available has disappeared and been replaced by summary data with long-term averages. Individual weekly profiles are no longer available for download. The inability to get timely data on water conditions in the Basin is a huge loss for the oceanography community in the area.
