Human Components of Watersheds Apart from a source of drinking water, the water resources in watersheds supply water for irrigation and the production of hydroelectricity, and are a primary mode of transportation. Major water consumers are municipalities, agriculture, mining, manufacturing and thermal power generation. The original map consisted of several optional layers to show the impact of human activity on watersheds and the utilization of watersheds for economic, social or cultural purposes. Only layers from the original map that could be viewed simultaneously without loss of information are mapped. Refer to the map text for the complete list of the human components of watersheds that were originally mapped. 2010-12-31 2017-01-26 Natural Resources Canada NRCan.geogratis-geogratis.RNCan@canada.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and Technologyenvironmentmapwatersheds Download the English JP2 File through HTTPJP2 http://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6413_human_components_of_watersheds.jp2 Download the English ZIP (PDF,JPG) file through HTTPZIP http://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6413_human_components_of_watersheds.zip Download the French JP2 File through HTTPother http://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6413_composantes_humaines_associees_aux_bassins_versants.jp2 Download the French ZIP (PDF, JPG) File through HTTPZIP http://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6413_composantes_humaines_associees_aux_bassins_versants.zip
