The [Immigration Consultants Regulation] (http://legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/showDoc/cr/I-0.2.1,%20r.%201) (chapter I-0.2.1, r. 1) aims to eradicate bad practices and to better protect foreign nationals wishing to settle in Quebec. It oversees the activities of immigration consultants as well as the conditions for obtaining recognition and renewing recognition as an immigration consultant. To act as an immigration consultant, a natural person must be recognized as such by the Minister. When an immigration consultant obtains recognition, his name is listed in the Quebec Register of Immigration Consultants.
