BC Vertebrates Conservation Status Rank History 1992-2012
This dataset supports the 'Trends in the Status of Native Vertebrate Species in B.C. (1992-2012)' indicator published by Environmental Reporting BC in 2014. The data include the conservation status rank as assessed by the BC Conservation Data Centre, for every vertebrate species used in the analysis, for each year that the species was assessed. For details on what the conservation status ranks mean, see: http://www.natureserve.org/explorer/ranking.htm. Note that not all vertebrates in B.C. are included here; only those that have had a full review of historical rank changes are listed. Current conservation status ranks for all species and ecosystems are available through the B.C. Species and Ecosystems Explorer. See the methods document for further details.
