BC Vertebrates Conservation Status Rank History 1992-2012

BC Vertebrates Conservation Status Rank History 1992-2012 This dataset supports the '[Trends in the Status of Native Vertebrate Species in B.C. (1992-2012)](http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/soe/indicators/plants-and-animals/native-vertebrate-species.html)' indicator published by Environmental Reporting BC in 2014. The data include the conservation status rank as assessed by the [BC Conservation Data Centre](http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=018D1F92D3904A67890CDADC8E0E6019), for every vertebrate species used in the analysis, for each year that the species was assessed. For details on what the conservation status ranks mean, see: http://www.natureserve.org/explorer/ranking.htm. Note that not all vertebrates in B.C. are included here; only those that have had a full review of historical rank changes are listed. Current conservation status ranks for all species and ecosystems are available through the [B.C. Species and Ecosystems Explorer](http://a100.gov.bc.ca/pub/eswp/). See [the methods document](http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/soe/indicators/plants-and-animals/print_ver/2013_Trends_Native_Vertebrates_Methods.pdf) for further details. 2024-05-01 Government of British Columbia andy.teucher@gov.bc.ca Nature and Environmentassessmentconservation statusenvironmental reportingspeciesstateofenvironmentvertebrate B.C.
