Maritime region grain size data

Maritime region grain size data Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Maritime Science Branch has collected grain size data from sediment and water column samples using bottle samples, sediment cores, and sediment grabs as part of numerous research projects not only in the Atlantic provinces, but also worldwide. The data collected by DFO focuses on the fine grained (<1mm) particles as these are both a source of food and means of contaminant transport. Grain size data are used to study the fate and distribution of complimentary chemistries like heavy metals, pesticides, hydrocarbons, aquaculture waste as well as a variety of physical processes such as the resuspension and transport of sediment. 2024-07-03 Fisheries and Oceans Canada Brent.Law@dfo-mpo.gc.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and TechnologyGeomorphologyHydropowerSediments Temporal and spatial changes in grain size on a macro-tidal channel-flat complex: results from Kingsport, Nova Scotia, Bay of FundyPDF https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10236-018-1237-6 Electroresistance particle size analyzersHTML https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/principles-methods-and-application-of-particle-size-analysis/electroresistance-particle-size-analyzers/38DBB80D65690C89384399F341E8DF84 Maritime region grain size data/Données sur la granulométrie de la région maritimeESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Maritime_Region_GrainSize/MapServer Maritime region grain size observationsCSV https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/62994e57-e2d4-4bae-ad72-bbf5ae8a8364/attachments/observations.csv Maritime region grain size samplesCSV https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/62994e57-e2d4-4bae-ad72-bbf5ae8a8364/attachments/samples.csv Maritime region grain size data/Données sur la granulométrie de la région maritimeESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Maritime_Region_GrainSize/MapServer Data DictionaryCSV https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/62994e57-e2d4-4bae-ad72-bbf5ae8a8364/attachments/data_dictionary.csv
