Crop Field Trial Regions

Crop Field Trial Regions The Canadian major and minor crop field trial regions were developed following extensive stakeholder consultation and have been harmonized between the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) and the Environmental Protection Agency of the USA. The Canadian major and minor crop field trial regions were delineated, using the geographic information system (GIS) data processing hardware and software facilities in Spatial Analysis and Geomatics Applications (SAGA), Agriculture Division, Statistics Canada. In general, the delineation process involved integration, evaluation and reference to numerous geographic data sources in a GIS to determine the best sources for the delineation. There are seven major and four minor field trial regions. Each of these regions recognizes physical characteristics, such as soils, and crops and climate, that make the region unique within the Canadian agricultural landscape. The subzones address differences within a region, generally reflected in the types of crops grown in that region. The Canadian regions, as much as possible, correspond to the U.S. regions 2023-02-23 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada agri-geomatics-agrog@agr.gc.ca Government and PoliticsBoundariespest managementcropPesticides Data Product Specification (English)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/cropFieldTrialRegions/supportdocument_documentdesupport/en/ISO_19131_Crop_Field_Trial_Regions_-_Data_Product_Specification.pdf Data Product Specification (French)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/cropFieldTrialRegions/supportdocument_documentdesupport/fr/Zones_des_essais_au_champ_des_cultures_%e2%80%93_SPC_ISO_19131.pdf Pre-packaged FGDB filesFGDB/GDB https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/cropFieldTrialRegions/data_donnees/fgdb/ Pre-packaged GeoJSON filesGEOJSON https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/cropFieldTrialRegions/data_donnees/geoJson/ Crop Field Trial Regions and Safe Zones (English)HTML https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/cftr Crop Field Trial Regions and Safe Zones (French)HTML https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/zecc Canada US Crop Field Trial Regions (AGOL)ESRI REST https://services.arcgis.com/lGOekm0RsNxYnT3j/arcgis/rest/services/canadaUSCropFieldTrialRegions/FeatureServer Canada Crop Field Trial Regions Safe Zones (AGOL)ESRI REST https://services.arcgis.com/lGOekm0RsNxYnT3j/arcgis/rest/services/TrialRegionsSafeZones/FeatureServer
