Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coast

Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coast The shallow substrate bottom type model was created to support near shore habitat modelling. Data sources include both available observations of bottom type and environmental predictor layers including oceanographic layers, fetch, and bathymetry and its derivatives. Using weighted random forest classification from the ranger R package, the relationship between observed bottom type and predictor layers can be determined, allowing bottom type to be classified across the study areas. The predicted raster files are classified as follows: 1) Rock, 2) Mixed, 3) Sand, 4) Mud The categorical substrate model domains are restricted to the extent of the input bathymetry layers (see data sources) which is 5 km from the 50 m depth contour. 2023-07-13 Fisheries and Oceans Canada Dana.Haggarty@dfo-mpo.gc.ca Nature and EnvironmentOcean bottomSea bedSeabedRugositySedimentsOcean floor Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coast - TiffTIFF https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/substrate_20m_datapackage.zip ReferencesPDF https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/References_EN_FR_Substrate_model_20m.pdf Data DictionaryCSV https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast\Data_dictionary_EN_Substrate_model_20m.csv Data DictionaryCSV https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/Dictionnaire_de_donnees_FR_Substrate_model_20m.csv Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coast - GIS Hub metadataPDF https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/GISHub_metadata_EN_Substrate_model_20m.pdf Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coast - GIS Hub metadataPDF https://pacgis01.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FGPPublic/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/GISHub_metadata_FR_Substrate_model_20m.pdf Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coastESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/MapServer Shallow substrate model (20m) of the Pacific Canadian coastESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Shallow_Substrate_Model_20m_Pacific_Canadian_Coast/MapServer
