2020 National Building Code of Canada Seismic Hazard Tool

2020 National Building Code of Canada Seismic Hazard Tool The 2020 National Building Code of Canada Seismic Hazard Tool provides seismic values for the design of buildings in Canada under Part 4 of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) 2020 as prescribed in Article 1.1.3.1. of Division B of the NBC 2020. The user can choose to query results for any location in Canada based on a specified Vₛ₃₀ value (in the range of 140 to 3000 m/s) or Site Class (A, B, C, D or E). Spectral acceleration, peak ground acceleration and peak ground velocity values are provided for the probabilities of 2%, 5% and 10% in 50 years, as prescribed in the NBC. Other probabilities between 2% in 50 years and 40% in 50 years are also provided as additional information. The results are shown as tables, and can be downloaded as comma separated (CSV) files, or viewed as plots to aid in the interpretation of the data. 2022-03-23 Natural Resources Canada earthquakeinfo-infoseisme@nrcan-rncan.gc.ca Health and SafetyScience and TechnologyNational Building Code of Canadaseismic hazard 2020 National Building Code of Canada Seismic Hazard Tool - EnglishHTML https://earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca/hazard-alea/interpolat/nbc2020-cnb2020-en.php 2020 National Building Code of Canada Seismic Hazard Tool - FrenchHTML https://earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc.ca/hazard-alea/interpolat/nbc2020-cnb2020-fr.php
