Blended Index – Long Term

Blended Index – Long Term The Blended Index (BI) is a model which employs multiple potential indicators of drought and excess moisture, such as the Palmer drought index, rolling precipitation amounts and soil moisture, and combines them into a weighted, normalized value between 0 and 100. The inputs and weights used in this model are subject to change periodically as it is optimized to best represent extent, duration and severity of impactful weather conditions. The blended index is deployed as two variations; short term (st) focusing on 1 to 3 months, and long term (lt) focusing on 6 months to 5 years. 2023-02-23 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada agri-geomatics-agrog@agr.gc.ca Nature and EnvironmentScience and TechnologyBIagclimateBILTCropsAgricultureFarmlandsTemperaturePrecipitation Data Product Specification (English)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agClimate/supportdocument_documentdesupport/en/ISO_19131_AgClimate_-_Data_Product_Specification.pdf Using AAFC Climate Services (French)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agClimate/supportdocument_documentdesupport/fr/Utilisation_des_services_climatiques_dAAC.pdf Data Product Specification (French)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agClimate/supportdocument_documentdesupport/fr/Donnees_agroclimat_-_SPC.pdf Agroclimate Interactive Maps (English)HTML https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/agclimate Agroclimate Interactive Maps (French)HTML https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/agclimat Pre-packaged GeoTIF files (No linguistic component)GeoTIF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agClimate/data_donnees/tif/bi/bilt/ Using AAFC Climate Services (English)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agClimate/supportdocument_documentdesupport/en/Using_AAFC_Climate_Services.pdf Blended IndexESRI REST https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/rest/services/app_agclimate_agclimat/agclimate_bi/ImageServer Blended IndexWMS https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/services/app_agclimate_agclimat/agclimate_bi/ImageServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS Blended IndexESRI REST https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/rest/services/app_agclimate_agclimat/agclimate_bi/ImageServer
