Food Industries
Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows six condensed maps illustrating the distribution of: slaughtering and meat packing plants; wheat flour mills and grain elevators; creameries, cheese factories, combined butter and cheese factories, concentrated milk and other dairy product factories (mainly ice cream); bakeries; fruit and vegetable canneries; and breweries, distilleries and wineries. These maps are based on data that was available as of the 1958 publication date of this atlas plate.
