Situation of medium-size carnivores - La Mauricie The American marten (Martes americana), fisher (Martes pennanti) and Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis) are predators that have a prominent place in the food chain of the forests in La Mauricie National Park. They are sensitive to large-scale anthropogenic pressures that can occur in the region and the availability of certain types of forest habitats in the park.
